'Chimera, who breathed raging fire, a creature fearful, great, swift-footed and strong, who had three heads, one of a grim-eyed lion; in her hinderpart, a dragon; and in her middle, a goat, breathing forth a fearful blast of blazing fire. Her did Pegasus and noble Bellerophon slay.' - Hesiod, 'Theogony'
Few monsters have clung to the memory of those who study myth the way the Chimera did. Offspring of Typhon and Echidna, it breathed great gouts of flame like its Dragon part, and bore the hunger of its Goat part and ferocity of its Lioness part. Where the Chimera prowled, disaster walked, and only the brave Bellerophon, from the back of Pegasus, could face it.
Let this mighty beast stride your own scenes, and let your heroes beware - for destruction approaches!
