In today's world, where conflicts, biased media, influencers and organizations, uninformed opinions, disinformation, propaganda, hatred, etc. are shaping our thoughts and perceptions, we need wisdom more than ever before. We need to be able to distinguish right from wrong and true from false. But in order to do that, one also needs to get to know oneself better. Understanding others and their words and information often goes hand in hand with understanding oneself. We can't know what is right or true if the wrong and the false inside us are clouding our judgment.
