Post processing plays an important role in my Landscape Photography. Between importing the raw photos into Lightroom and uploading them to a lab for printing lie many individual steps. Over the last nine years I have constantly refined my post processing techniques. And in this video tutorial I show them together with my complete workflow in Lightroom and Photoshop for the photo
Coastal Garden.
The tutorial consists of six parts, which are split into individual videos. This way it's easy to revisit interesting parts of the workflow and to incorporate a selection of the techniques into the processing of your Landscape Photos.
After a short
introduction video, which you can watch below, I talk about the set of raw photos I took that morning at Pednvounder Beach, about how and why I ended up with over 40 of them and how I
pre-processa selection of them for Photoshop.
Heading over to Photoshop I show you my very detailed
exposure blendingthat involves blending for increased dynamic range, focus stacking and some blending of high ISO shots to freeze motion.
The next part is the largest chunk of the tutorial. I describe my complete
creative processing workflow. I use some dreamy photo techniques, do global contrast adjustments and selective tweaks to the image. I also share my workflow in Nik Color Efex which I like to mix with my usual Photoshop techniques.
Afterwards a selective
multi pass sharpeningbrings out the details in the photo before I prepare the image for web and print during the
output sharpening.
